Its still CRAP!

I've posted a pic of this guys "art" before......LMAO!!!!!!

It doesnt matter how much you look at it, its still SHIT, a two year old kid could do better.

The guy that "painted" this and I mean that in the loosest sense of the word was born today in 1912.
He shares his birthday with some great people, but also with a right arsehole, the skank shall remain nameless.....

But if the shoe fits..........

Birthday Pressie.....

OK, so I decided to buy myself a birthday pressie.
I was at a friends house last Thursday night, and we were playing on this.....

It was so addictive and fun, so I decided I had to have one, and as it was my birthday in only a few days, I was going to treat myself to it.

.... and hey presto, it has turned up this morning at work....

JUST IN TIME!!!

27th January 1926 - The Birth of TV.

John Logie Baird, a Scottish inventor, gives the first public demonstration of a pictorial-transmission machine he calls a televisor. Baird's invention used mechanical rotating disks to scan moving images into electronic impulses.

This information was then transmitted by cable to a screen where it showed up as a low-resolution pattern of light and dark. Baird's first television program showed the heads of two ventriloquist dummies, which he operated in front of the camera apparatus out of view of the audience.

The principle behind transmitting images through electric currents had actually existed since 1875, but Baird was the first to make practical advances in television technology. In 1928, he made the first overseas broadcast from London to New York and the same year demonstrated the first colour television.

His early British broadcasts never reached more than about 100 television sets, but he was responsible for launching a revolution in communication and entertainment.

The BBC started the first public broadcasts in London in 1936.
Regular television broadcasts began in the US in 1939.

22nd January 1879 - ZULU

The Anglo Zulu War.

The Battle of Rorke’s Drift begins.

139 British soldiers and Natal irregulars, successfully defend their station against attack from around four and a half thousand Zulu warriors.

The Zulu warriors were formed in regiments by age, their standard equipment the shield and the stabbing spear. The formation for the attack, described as the “horns of the beast”, was said to have been devised by Shaka, the Zulu King who established Zulu hegemony in Southern Africa. The main body of the army delivered a frontal assault, called the “loins”, while the “horns” spread out behind each of the enemy’s flanks and delivered the secondary and often fatal attack in the enemy’s rear. Cetshwayo, the Zulu King, fearing British aggression took pains to purchase firearms wherever they could be bought. By the outbreak of war the Zulus had tens of thousands of muskets and rifles, but of a poor standard, and the Zulus were ill-trained in their use. The Zulus captured some 1,000 Martini Henry breech loading rifles and a large amount of ammunition. Some of these rifles were used at Rorke’s Drift. All the British casualties, few though they were, were shot rather than stabbed.

At Rorke's Drift, eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded. Seven to the 2nd Battalion, 24th (2nd Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot, one to the Army Medical Department, one to the Royal Engineers, one to the Commissariat and Transport Department and one to the Natal Native Contingent.
