Todays song.....
This song has absolutely no significance at all, the reason I chose it was because it was on the radio as I was on my way home from college last night, and its been years since Ive heard it.

Stephen King was born in Portland, Maine in 1947, the second son of Donald and Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King. He made his first professional short story sale in 1967 to Startling Mystery Stories. In the fall of 1973, he began teaching high school English classes at Hampden Academy, the public high school in Hampden, Maine. Writing in the evenings and on the weekends, he continued to produce short stories and to work on novels. In the spring of 1973, Doubleday & Co., accepted the novel Carrie for publication, providing him the means to leave teaching and write full-time. He has since published over 40 books and has become one of the world's most successful writers.

Sunday, I had a ride out with my (ex) brother in law, we decided we were going to go to Whitby.
My Bike: Suzuki SV650S
Chris's Bike: Suzuki GSX 1400
Obviously Chris's bike is a LOT quicker than mine.
On the way there, because we were with other people, we took it easy. We had our obligatory seaside fish and chips, had a wander around and then decided to leave Whitby before everyone else, this meant we could have a little fun....... there were two other people with us, one of which had only passed his test a few of weeks ago (Mike)...... and boy did we have some fun......
When we got back home, we parked up and got off the bikes, Mike proceeded to walk over to me and said......."By.... you like to go fast...." we just laughed at him.
But believe me the adrenalin was definately pumping, and yes I kept up with Chris..... and he wasnt going slow!!!!!

Short notice....
I was supposed to start my college course tonight, so I was all ready to learn, then I get e text message from the college to say the course had been cancelled, and that was it, nothing else.
So I rang the college and obviously I was furious. They werent willing to help out at all. All I was told to do was ring around other colleges to see if they offered the same course, and see if I could enrol on their course instead.
Surely that should be their job, its their fault for cancelling the course in the first place, but NO!! No help at all.
How do they expect anyone to further themselves, when they just knock you back like this?

Nostalgia.......
OK..... I'm getting a little nostalgic today.
Ive just set up my new USB turntable (a record player that works with your PC), and I'm getting to play records that I haven't heard in years.
Its bringing back so many memories, its great!!!!
You just cant beat the sound of vinyl.

Now, normally at these Meet and Greets, you only get one photo took. But because we had already been having a right good crack on with Meat, he started to take the piss when it was time for the photos, so Joya, the photographer, on Meats say so had to take more.
It was SO much fun.... a day that will stick in my mind forever!

Stormin' Cancelled!!
Termination of Stormin' 2008
Unfortunately because of the extremely bad weather conditions we have had to cancel the entertainment for Saturday. The main problem was that the medical services were unable to provide satisfactory cover because their tent was flooded and there was nowhere else for them to work in a hygenic environment. We are not allowing anyone to come onto the site and are advising those on site to leave.

Its that time of year again.......
Stormin' the Castle.
5th,6th,7th September.
We will set off mid-day Friday to Stormin's new location, between Staindrop and Bernard Castle, set up the tents, and then relax with a beer.
Hopefully the weather will hold off this year, and it will be dry.
